To build the source distributions, unpack them with zip or tar and follow the instructions in README.rst at the top of the source tree. This prefix can be removed as long as the share, bin, man and doc directories are moved relative to each other. For example, the linux-x86_64 tar file is all under the directory cmake–linux-x86_64. They are prefixed by the version of CMake. The tar file distributions can be untared in any directory. The files are compressed tar files of the install tree. The files are gziped tar files of the install tree. sh file, run it with /bin/sh and follow the directions. sh files are self extracting gziped tar files. I hope they can PROPER these in the future. The release was packaged with CPack which is included as part of the release. I love R2R and use many of their releases, but VR seems more consistent when it comes to the Izotope plugins. Which means inter-plugin communication could be broken. The plugins work good individually, but the track assistant does not pick up any audio in any DAW i have tried, Izotope neutron 3.8.1 advanced-R2R **EDIT: Need to try this claim on a different PC, ignore for now. ***FINAL UPDATE: The below claim has been resolved to be my fault and a bug which was fixed in Neutron 3.9.0, describing a clash between Neutron Pro and Neutron advanced being installed on the same computer. This could also have something to do with the license of Relay, which is not "Relay advanced" as it should be. If the indicator is BLUE - you have access to Plus and you can click this indicator for a dropdown, revealing additional settings for unmasking. If the indicator is ORANGE - it means you dont have access to Plus features. After finishing this process, you open Relay, and you will see an indicator to show that it is now "unmasking". One of the main advertised features of "plus" is the "advanced unmask", which requires you to insert izotope Relay on a different track, and run vocal assistant with the "unmask" box checked. if you compare to VR's 3.6.0 release, you will spot the difference. The first giveaway is the missing "plus" underneath the nectar logo in the GUI. I realize this is my first post and there is a possibility that I am wrong, but: *** FINAL UPDATE: R2R has fixed the release with a NEW release of Nectar 3.6.2a.
